It never fails does it? Everytime Dallas fans believe Tony Romo is going to come up big...... he manages to prove us wrong and shatter every aspiration we have. This has been his modus operandi (MO) ever since he became a Dallas Cowboy. I would go into all his mistakes and mishaps, but I don't believe there are enough characters to type with. Yesterday Romo threw three interceptions, one late in the fourth quarter. If he hadn't thrown that pick, the Cowboys could have possibly went into OT or won the game. Instead the Cowboys are not going to playoffs for the third consectutive year. It's really pathetic especially with all that talent surrounding him. Romo just cant come up big in crunchtime, or in the big games. It's long overdue (about four years overdue) its time for Romo to be traded or released. Who's the future quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys? If I had my way I'd trade for Tim Tebow. Tebow in Dallas uniform, nothing would be better. He's marketable, extremely popular, clutch, and knows how to win. Why not pick him up? He led a struggling Broncos team to the playoffs, on top of that he made a clutch game winning TD in OT to defeat the Steelers. Tebow had numerous game winning drives with the Broncos, which started the "Tebowmania", "Tebow Time", and "Tebowing" phenomena. If Tebow isn't acquired Kyle Orton is a solid starting quarterback, who I believe can lead the Cowboys to the playoffs. Alex Smith is another option, Smith is easily a Top 10 quarterback who possibly would've have jumped into elite status had he not been benched by Harbaugh. No matter who the Cowboys quarterback is for the 2013 season, Tony Romo should not be in the backfield.

THE DISSAPOINTMENT OF THE COWBOYS

JACK TAYLOR
Who said D1 schools have the best scorers in the NCAA? Grinnel College keeps proving that statement untrue. Jack Taylor, a 5'10 sophmore guard, scored a whopping 138 points. He went 52-108 from the field; Taylor was 25-37 from 2 point range, 27-71 from beyond the arc, and he nailed 7-10 free throws. Taylor has set a scoring record for all NCAA divisions. He annihilated two previous scoring records set by Frank Selvy (100 pts vs. Newberry:PLAYED FOR Furman:D1) and Clarence "Bevo" Francis (113 pts vs. Hillsdale: PLAYED FOR Rio Grande:D2) in 1954. The Grinnell Pioneers dominated Faith Bapist Bible 179-104. Taylor attempted 108 out of 136 team field goals. Coach David Arseneault is known for his up tempo style of play called "The System". "The System" incorporates an all game full court press, focus on offensive rebounding, a plethora of three point shots, and regular subsitutions (he subs 5 new players every 2 minutes). Last season Griffin Lentsch, Taylor's senior teammate scored 89 points, and set a new D3 scoring record. Taylor was averaging 23.5 ppg in only 13.5 mpg, after yesterday's game he's avering 61.7 ppg through 3 games played.

Lakers hire Mike D'Antoni
On Sunday night, early Monday morning, The LA Lakers hired former Coach Of The Year Mike D'Antoni. D'Antoni signed a $12M/4yr deal with Tinseltown's team. Communication with Phil Jackson broke down due to his seemlingly outlandish demands ( $10-15M a year, major clout in personnel choices, choosing his successor, and skipping selected road games). Obviously that's a lot to ask for even for Phil Jackson. Now that the Lakers have their coaching situation in tact, how will the rest of the season play out for them? I believe that Lakers will flourish under Mike D'Antoni. D'Antoni has a great relationship with Steve Nash; Nash knows how to run a D'Antoni offense. Their offense will be fast paced, high octane, pick n roll oriented, and fun to watch. Dwight will thrive in the pick n roll with Nash, which will free up Kobe for open shots due to the threat of Nash's unparalleled pick n roll ability. A plethora of critics, including myself, know that D'Antoni isn't a defensive minded coach; However according to ESPN D'Antoni's teams have solid defensive stats. Although that is true none of D'Antoni's previous teams had the best low post defender in the NBA, in their starting lineup. Dwight will improve D'Antoni's solid defensive stats, and transform them into great defensive stats. The Lakers currently are on the right track again; They've won two straight games, and have hired a new coach. I'm dubbing these new look Lakers "Showtime Pt. 2". Things are looking up in Hollywood. Mike Brown FIRED!
Yesterday, Lakers coach Mike Brown was terminated from his head coaching position. Mike Brown compiled a record 42-29 while with the Lakers. This season the Lakers were expected to win the Western Conference, but seemingly can't get it together. Brown seemingly never had an offensive system in place; Brown's predecessor Phil Jackson who implemented the Triangle Offense, enabled the Lakers to flourish without a true point guard. Mike D'Antoni and Phil Jackson are the top 2 candidates for the job. D'Antoni is known for his "7 second offense", and high scoring games. In his stint with the Suns the team stayed among the top 10 in PPG, and top 10 in other offensive categories. However, defense is not his fortay; Dwight would control the defense, allow the offense to score in transition, and thrive in the pick n roll with Steve Nash. Phil Jackson is Phil Jackson, need I say more? The only concern with Phil is his health. Can he deal with 82 game grind of the NBA season, plus a predicted deep playoff run? I believe Phil Jackson should be rehired, simply because he's Phil Jackson. NUFF SAID

THE NBA IS BACK!!!!
Welcome to 2012-2013 NBA season! This season promises to top the previous 2 seasons with relative ease. What better way to start this season than with Heat vs Celtics! There is a plethora of bad blood between these two teams. The Heat have ousted the Celtics from the playoffs two years in a row. On top of that future Hall Of Famer Ray Allen joined the Heat this offseason; he's been involved in a highly publicized beef with former teammate Kevin Garnett. These two teams are going to be extremely determined to defeat each other. Fans should expect a gritty, tough, and defensive minded
game. All in all the Heat will win in a close one 90-85. The second game on the marquee is the Lakers vs Mavericks. The new look Lakers are geared up, and ready to prove their dominance in the West. Unfortunately for the Mavs Dirk Nowitski is 6-8 weeks due to knee surgery, Chris Kaman is also out with a strained right calf. The Lakers will win this game convincingly 100-80. NUFF SAID.

James Harden to Houston
2012 Sixth Man Of The Year James Harden was traded to the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. The Oklahoma City Thunder recieved Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and 2 first round draft picks. The Houston Rockets recieved James Harden, Cole Aldrich, and Daquean Cook. Harden was intially offered $52M/4yrs. He declined that offer and the Thunder upped the ante a little more by offering Harden $55.5M/4yrs. When he declined that offer Sam Presti knew he had to make a trade that was beneficial to both sides. I feel that their is no winner or loser in this deal. The Thunder recieved Kevin Martin, a proven scorer who can easily score 20 ppg. Jeremy Lamb was also a good pickup, Lamb is also a good scorer, averaging 20 ppg in the NBA Summer League. The Rockets recieve James Harden, who will make an immediate impact on the team. Harden is good scorer, passer, and defender. The possibility of Harden having a breakout season, and joining the NBA's elite superstars is very strong. However the flipside of this is what if Harden doesn't produce as a starter (assuming he starts in Houston)? Maybe Harden can only play at a high level in 25-28 minutes off the bench. Maybe he'll score 25 ppg as a starter, we'll have to wait and see during the season. The Rockets backcourt is going to be one of the most exciting backcourts in the league, espcially with Jeremy Lin at the reigns. The Thunder will miss Harden, but they've acquired 2 guys who fill his role nicely. The Rockets are now a playoff team, with a very bright future. NUFF SAID.

COWBOYS MUST TURN THEIR SEASON AROUND!
After his abyssmal 5 interception performance against the Bears, Tony Romo must turn the Cowboys season around RIGHT NOW! Jerry Jones is the team's problem, however he wouldn't be a problem if Romo was playing at a high level ( ala Troy Aikman who lead the Cowboys to 3 Superbowl titles under Jerry Jones). Romo has the weapons, guys such as Dez, Miles, Ogletree, Witten, Felix Jones, and DeMarco Murray are more than capable of generating points. Romo must LEAD the team for the Cowboys to be successful. He must guide HIS offense, which is the worst offense in the NFL averaging 16.3 ppg. It's all on Romo, if he wants to join Eli, Brady, Rodgers, Peyton, and Brees in the ELITE QB class he MUST turn this season around, and come up big in crunchtime. If he really aspires to be an ELITE QB he must lead the Cowboys to a Superbowl victory. If he can't step up Kyle Orton should be the Cowboys new starting QB. Nuff Said.
Brooklyn Nets: OVERHYPED
I don't mean any harm, but the Nets are a little overhyped. Yes the team has D-Will, Joe Johnson, Gerald Wallace, and Brook Lopez. The Nets also have Kim Kardashian's ex husband Kris Humphries (who's a 10 and 10 guy). A boisterous Russian owner Mikhail Prokohov and New York royalty Jay-Z also are apart of this new franchise. The Barclays Center, which Jay-Z rocked recently, is a beautiful stadium. The team possesses a former Coach Of The Year in Avery Johnson, who is more than capable of coaching a championship contender. With all of these pros and seemingly no cons, there is one problem. The Brooklyn Nets HAVE NOT PLAYED A NBA GAME (I'm not counting the preseason games). In 2011 the Miami Heat were in the same situation, overhyped and unproven. Through their first 17 games the Heat were a dissapointing 9-8. However they turned it around by having the second best record in the Eastern conference. Another thing the Nets must develop is chemistry. Miami had chemistry issues early on, but patched them up as the season progressed. The Nets look good on paper, but let's see how they look after maybe 25-30 games in the regular season. Nuff said. P.S.- I don't feel that they should have their own "The Association" special on NBA TV. In my eyes they haven't earned it.

NFL REFS ARE BACK!
Thank God the REAL NFL refs are back. The NFL has come to terms with the referees, and their labor dispute is over. The NFL was being cheap, due to the fact that they didn't want to pay the referees. It was the same scenario with the players. The Packers vs Seahawks game played a big role in ending the dispute (we all know about that controversial catch and call).

TEAM USA HAS STRUCK GOLD!!!
The 2012 USA Team defeated Spain 107-100. We have won the gold!!! The debate will go on forever 92 Dream or 2012 Team. After these Olympics I think the gap between these 2 great teams is officially closed. Both teams are equally great. Who would win between these two great teams? If you really want to know simulate it on NBA 2k12. Nuff Said.
DWIGHT TO LA!
Superman has finally left Smallville (Orlando) and is headed to Metropolis (LA). Superstar centers tend to leave Orlando for LA (ala Shaq). Shaq won 3 titles, will Dwight do the same? Its definitely possible seeing as he'll have Captain Canada, Gasol, and The Black Mamba as his teammates. If you're an Orlando be prepared for the #1 overall pick in the 2013 draft. Nuff Said.

PENN ST
The NCAA sanctioned Penn St with the following penalties: a $60M fine, a 4 year bowl ban, and scholarship reductions. Penn St is getting what they deserve, after the horrible events that have transpired there.

2012 NBA FREE AGENCY
<p>LINSANITY............. IS HEADED TO TEXAS WHERE EVERYTHING IS BIGGER!!!!! Yeah that's true, but bigger than New York I doubt it. The global icon, the Asian Persuasion, the international superstar Jeremy Lin is headed to the Houston Rockets. Lin came out of nowhere, and not only set the NBA but the world on fire in February. Lin lead the Knickerbockers to a 7 game winning streak, out shining future Hall Of Famers Dirk and Kobe in the games they faced each other. Kobe stated he'd never heard of Lin, after the 46 pt thrashing he gave them Kobe definitely knows who he is now. Lin is set to join a nice cast of young players which includes UCONN star Jeremy Lamb, European big man Donatas Motiejunas, Royce White, and KENTUCKY star Terrence Jones. With this young core of guys the Rockets should creep in the playoffs as the 6th, 7th, or 8th seed. One major question is can Lin do what he did in February in an 82 game season? I believe he can do it, he stepped up when he got an oppurtunity to play so this is another opportunity for him to prove the doubters and haters wrong. Let's be real Melo didn't want Lin back in NY, Lin was stealing his thunder, becoming the man, and Melo couldn't stand it. If he wanted him back he wouldn't call his contract "ridiculous", he'd be telling management to resign him so that they could be in the best position to win with their own Big 3. He didn't do that, too much Haterade instead of Gatorade in his bottle. Lin was winning (linning), Melo and STAT weren't. It'll be more of the same this season. Nuff Said
2012 NBA FREE AGENCY
Steve Nash is going to Hollywood!!! The Nashinator is joining The Black Mamba Kobe Bryant and his LA Lakers, in hopes of capturing that elusive 1st championship. Nash is going to bring a dimension to the Lakers that they haven't had since Magic Johnson. Nash is arguably the best passer in the NBA, and he's the best Pick N Roll PG in the NBA. He has good big men to run the PNR with, Gasol, one of the most skilled bigs in the league, struggled last season due to The Triangle Offense being obsolete in Mike Brown's
"system" ,and the lack of a TRUE PG. Bynum, who is overhyped, immature, but talented, will definitely benefit from Nash's presence. The PNR would transform Bynum into a superstar, just as it did for Amare Stoudemire. What most people dont seem to realize is that this will benefit Kobe also. Kobe was playing like Melo last season ( a plethora of isos and tough shots). Kobe finished 2nd in scoring, due to the fact that he's one of the greatest scorers ever, also because he was seemingly the Lakers only offensive option. Nash will space the floor, allow others to score, and take the pressure off Kobe. My point of view on the situation is the Lakers will be 2 or 3 in the West and they will play the Thunder in the WCF. Will they be victorious we'll see. The Lakers also signed reliable scorer Antwan Jamison, who'll provide a nice scoring punch off the bench or even in the starting lineup over a declining Metta World Peace. Nuff Said.
2012 NBA FREE AGENCY
NBA FREE AGENCY...... the most exciting spectacle in the NBA besides The Finals. The 2 biggest free agents Deron Williams and Steve Nash made their monumental (and possibly league changing) decisions this offseason. D-Will resigned with the Brooklyn Nets, after speculation that he'd go home to the Dallas Mavericks. The Nets have made moves that will set them up to be one of the East's elite teams. The Nets traded for Joe Johnson, an overpaid, underperforming, but very talented 2 guard. The Nets resigned SF Gerald Wallace, possible All-Star C Brook Lopez, and Kim K's ex-husband
Kris Humphries. Jay-Z's Nets also dropped out of the Dwightmare Sweepstakes. My point of view on the situation is the Nets will be between the 2 and 4 seed in the playoffs. Nuff said. Pt.2 NEXT

NBA Champions
"THE MIAMI HEAT ARE BASKETBALLS BEST" Mike Breen made that statement about the Mavs last season when they won they championship, I decided to put the Heat's name instead for obvious reasons. LeBron James has finally acquired what has been eluding him for the last 9 years...... an NBA Championship. LeBron played the best basketball of his career in the 2012 playoffs. He straight dominated the Thunder, in every way, form, and fashion. His clutch ability is no longer in question. LeBron made the big/clutch shots and plays in every game in the Finals. Now that he has a ring he is easily in my opinion ONE OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS
OF ALL TIME. Now I know you're saying he's got 1 ring Magic has 5, Kobe has 5, Bird has 3. Yes this is true, but if you look at how he affects every game it's remarkably astounding. I believe the guy could average a triple-double if he wanted to, he's came pretty close to accomplishing it. Prior to LeBron winning a championship he was #11 on my all time greatest list, now he's number #10
. Obviously he wants more rings as does every superstar player, and he's in an ideal situation to obtain more rings. My prediction is that LeBron and the Heat will win AT LEAST 4 MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS. They won't repeat next year though, as their storyline will repeat itself but for their previous Finals opponent. Nuff said.
