NBA Champions

"THE MIAMI HEAT ARE BASKETBALLS BEST" Mike Breen made that statement about the Mavs last season when they won they championship, I decided to put the Heat's name instead for obvious reasons. LeBron James has finally acquired what has been eluding him for the last 9 years...... an NBA Championship. LeBron played the best basketball of his career in the 2012 playoffs. He straight dominated the Thunder, in every way, form, and fashion. His clutch ability is no longer in question. LeBron made the big/clutch shots and plays in every game in the Finals. Now that he has a ring he is easily in my opinion ONE OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS
OF ALL TIME. Now I know you're saying he's got 1 ring Magic has 5, Kobe has 5,  Bird has 3. Yes this is true, but if you look at how he affects every game it's remarkably astounding. I believe the guy could average a triple-double if he wanted to, he's came pretty close to accomplishing it. Prior to LeBron winning a championship he was #11 on my all time greatest list, now he's number #10
. Obviously he wants more rings as does every superstar player, and he's in an ideal situation to obtain more rings. My prediction is that LeBron and the Heat will win AT LEAST 4 MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS. They won't repeat next year though, as their storyline will repeat itself but for their  previous Finals opponent. Nuff said.

Game 5- Now or Never for Thunder

It's come down to this... Game 5. If the Heat win LeBron James captures his 1st NBA titile and moves further up the ladder as one of the greatest players of all time. If the Thunder win they go back to OKC, with a chance to win it on their homecourt in front of the best fans in the NBA. SO MUCH DRAMA in only 1 game, that's the NBA Finals for you. The Thunder aren't losing because of inexperience and youth, they are losing due the simple fact that they aren't executing in the 4th quarter. I previously stated that " The OKC Thunder are showing their youth", I sat down and evaluated the their playoff run, opponents, and their team. I came up with the conclusion that YOUTH and INEXPERIENCE have absolutely positvely nothing to do with their current deficit in the Finals. The Thunder defeated 3 NBA championship teams (Mavs, Lakers, and Spurs). All of those teams are former NBA champions, veteran teams, with great talent. The Thunder lost a total of 3 games in their Western Conference playoff run. The Heat have played masterfully in the Finals ( Game 2- Game 5). LeBron has played the best basketball of his career in the 2012 NBA Finals. He's also proven why he's the BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER IN THE WORLD. He's taking and making clutch shots, and every  play down the stretch  he's facilitating it. Wade has played like the 06' Wade (minus some explosiveness due to injury). He's been Robin to LeBron's Batman every game after Game 1. The Heat's role players have been an intrical part to the team's Finals sucess. Shane Battier has been the ultimate role player for the team, knocking down 3's with confidence and concentration. Mario Chalmers had a big game in Game 4, scoring 25 points 12 of which were in the 4th quarter. Norris Cole is the unsung hero of Game 4. He came in off the bench and scored 8 pts, (6 from downtown) and sparked a Heat run to cut into a 17 point deficit. The Heat in my opinion are going win tonight's game, and be crowned NBA Champions. If the Heat lose tonight THEY WILL LOSE THE SERIES IN 7 GAMES. Nuff said.

NBA Draft 2012

The NBA Draft is June 28, 2012. It's going to be a big night, as we have potential superstars up for grabs. Anthony Davis is the consensus #1 overall draft pick. He's a great shot blocker, rebounder, and oozes potential. After Davis their is no set or assumed order, picks vary based off opinion. Possible # 2 picks range from Kidd Gilchrist and Thomas Robinson. Other potential lotto picks are Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes, Damian Lillard, and Jared Sullinger. All of these guys have potential to be superstars, but we'll have to see when they play their first NBA season.

Game 3- NBA Finals

The Thunder are showing their youth in the last 2 games. Silly mistakes such as fouls and turnovers are costing them games. LeBron and Wade have played extremely well in the last 2 games. I still have faith that the Thunder will win the series ,but they must make adjustments or they will find  themselves down 3-1 to the Heat heading to Miami for Game 5.

Game 1- NBA Finals

Game 1 was tale of two halves. In the 1st half LeBron James had a great start, scoring 14 pts. Shane Battier also provided a huge spark scoring 13 pts in the1st half, while shooting 3-3 from behind the 3 pt line. In the early stages of the game Miami was playing lockdown D and raced out to a 13 pt lead. OKC made a late 2nd quarter run and cut the lead to 7 at halftime. Westbrook was shooting an abysmal 3-10 from the field, and D-Wade had 7 pts. At the half Miami led 54-47. In second half the game changed dramatically. The Heat shot 32% from the field in the 3rd quarter. Russel Westbrook scored 12 pts in the 3rd, and the Thunder took a 74-73 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Thunder went on a 9-0 run early in the 4th, and the Heat didn't score a FG until D-Wade's AND1, at the8:55 mark of the 4th quarter, their previous FG was scored at the 2:35 mark of the 3rd quarter. The Thunder had 2 turnovers in the 4th, and basically body bagged this game. Kevin Durant erupted for 17 pts in the 4th quarter. The Thunder went on to win Game 1 105-94. LeBron IS NOT AT FAULT for the Game 1 loss, D-WADE is at fault. To be cont.

NBA FINALS

It's been a while, but I'm back for real this time. 2 words..........................NBA FINALS!!!!!!!!!! Nothing is better in my eyes. The Finals create legends, solidify superstardom, and almost guarantee HOF inductions. KD and LeBron have been the best players all season, and the best players in the postseason. Face it guys they're the best players in the league ( 1.LeBron 2 .KD). KD has been a beast in the playoffs averaging 26+ ppg in every series, and he's averaging 27.8 ppg for the playoffs. His clutch ability is not in question as he's hit big time shots in these playoffs. LeBron has played the best basketball of his career in the 2012 postseason. He's hungry and he smells blood in the water. The King boasts the highest scoring average in the postseason with 30.8 ppg. His GM 6 performance was dominating as he scored 30 pts in the 1st half in the rout of the Boston Celtics. There are 4 other players who will also have a major impact in the Finals. They need no introduction as they make up the other two-thirds of their respective Big 3's, but I'll get to them tommorrow.I will release My Finals prediction tommorrow. Nuff said.
