NBA Draft 2012

The NBA Draft is June 28, 2012. It's going to be a big night, as we have potential superstars up for grabs. Anthony Davis is the consensus #1 overall draft pick. He's a great shot blocker, rebounder, and oozes potential. After Davis their is no set or assumed order, picks vary based off opinion. Possible # 2 picks range from Kidd Gilchrist and Thomas Robinson. Other potential lotto picks are Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes, Damian Lillard, and Jared Sullinger. All of these guys have potential to be superstars, but we'll have to see when they play their first NBA season.

Game 3- NBA Finals

The Thunder are showing their youth in the last 2 games. Silly mistakes such as fouls and turnovers are costing them games. LeBron and Wade have played extremely well in the last 2 games. I still have faith that the Thunder will win the series ,but they must make adjustments or they will find  themselves down 3-1 to the Heat heading to Miami for Game 5.

Game 1- NBA Finals

Game 1 was tale of two halves. In the 1st half LeBron James had a great start, scoring 14 pts. Shane Battier also provided a huge spark scoring 13 pts in the1st half, while shooting 3-3 from behind the 3 pt line. In the early stages of the game Miami was playing lockdown D and raced out to a 13 pt lead. OKC made a late 2nd quarter run and cut the lead to 7 at halftime. Westbrook was shooting an abysmal 3-10 from the field, and D-Wade had 7 pts. At the half Miami led 54-47. In second half the game changed dramatically. The Heat shot 32% from the field in the 3rd quarter. Russel Westbrook scored 12 pts in the 3rd, and the Thunder took a 74-73 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Thunder went on a 9-0 run early in the 4th, and the Heat didn't score a FG until D-Wade's AND1, at the8:55 mark of the 4th quarter, their previous FG was scored at the 2:35 mark of the 3rd quarter. The Thunder had 2 turnovers in the 4th, and basically body bagged this game. Kevin Durant erupted for 17 pts in the 4th quarter. The Thunder went on to win Game 1 105-94. LeBron IS NOT AT FAULT for the Game 1 loss, D-WADE is at fault. To be cont.

NBA FINALS

It's been a while, but I'm back for real this time. 2 words..........................NBA FINALS!!!!!!!!!! Nothing is better in my eyes. The Finals create legends, solidify superstardom, and almost guarantee HOF inductions. KD and LeBron have been the best players all season, and the best players in the postseason. Face it guys they're the best players in the league ( 1.LeBron 2 .KD). KD has been a beast in the playoffs averaging 26+ ppg in every series, and he's averaging 27.8 ppg for the playoffs. His clutch ability is not in question as he's hit big time shots in these playoffs. LeBron has played the best basketball of his career in the 2012 postseason. He's hungry and he smells blood in the water. The King boasts the highest scoring average in the postseason with 30.8 ppg. His GM 6 performance was dominating as he scored 30 pts in the 1st half in the rout of the Boston Celtics. There are 4 other players who will also have a major impact in the Finals. They need no introduction as they make up the other two-thirds of their respective Big 3's, but I'll get to them tommorrow.I will release My Finals prediction tommorrow. Nuff said.

Peyton To The Mile High City

He's finally stable!!!! After the speculation of Tennessee, Miami, and San Francisco he lands in Denver. Manning signed a 95M/5year contract with the Broncos. Peyton is immediately going to make the Broncos better, even if their recieving core isn't grade A. I also believe that the Broncos could possibly be a Superbowl contender, because of their great D and because they've just acquired a 1st ballot Hall Of Fame QB named Peyton Manning.

D-Fish to OKC

Derek Fisher signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He won't start over Westbrook, but he will come off the bench and play D, shoot 3s, and knock down clutch shots. That will definitely take pressure off KD.

IT"S BEEN A WHILE BUT I"M BACK

Hey guys it's been a while between school, work, and life blogging has been far from my mind, but I'm back with a smash up so let's get to it. First off NBA TRADE DEADLINE TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! One trade has went down already. The Bucks traded C Andrew Bogut and SG Stephen Jackson to the Warriors for scoring powerhouse SG Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, and Kwame Brown. The trade made sense seeing as Bogut can not and will never be the franchise cornerstone for the Bucks ( or the Warriors for that matter). It also made sense because Monta was ready to leave, seeing as the management was moving in a different direction with the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and David Lee. He obviously wasn't fitting in, and Epke Udoh is and was a bust for lottery pick. I hate to say it but.......... CARMELO MUST GO!!! He's come in and messed up LINSANITY. All the blame should not fall him but about 85% should.  The Knicks were 7-1 without Anthony last month (including a victory over Utah in which he played only six minutes). They have lost 8 of 10 games since he returned. Without Melo their offense is fluid, free flowing, and fun.  With Melo their offense is stagnant, isolation heavy, and cluttered. LIN SHOULD BE THE MAN IN NEW YORK NOT MELO!!!!!!!!!!!
